Wheelchair transportation
Our wheelchair vans are built for real chairs — including wide, tilt and power models. Passengers stay in their own chair for the whole journey, secured with a four-point system and a separate occupant belt, so nobody has to be lifted in and out of a seat they did not choose.
What’s included
Everything here is part of the service. Where a trip needs something extra, we quote it before you confirm.
-
Hydraulic lift or low-angle ramp
Every wheelchair vehicle carries one or the other, so boarding never depends on being able to stand.
-
Four-point securement
Chairs are anchored at four points and passengers wear a separate lap-and-shoulder belt — the standard used by accessible transit.
-
Chairs we can provide
Don't have a chair, or yours is being repaired? Ask for a transport chair or a Broda chair when you book and we'll bring one.
-
Bariatric capacity
Wide-frame chairs and higher-capacity lifts are available. Share the chair width and passenger weight so we send the right vehicle.
Who this is for
- Passengers who use a manual, power or tilt-in-space wheelchair
- Residents of long-term care and retirement homes attending appointments
- Families who need a chair-accessible ride without renting a van
- Anyone who has been told a taxi 'can't take the chair'
Good to know
- Tell us the chair type — manual, power or tilt — and roughly how wide it is. Power chairs need extra loading time.
- Detachable trays, oxygen cylinders and cushions travel with the passenger.
- Our attendants are trained in safe transfer technique and will never lift a passenger without a plan.
This is not an emergency service. We provide scheduled, non-emergency transportation only. If someone needs medical help right now, call 911.
